It seems Scottish post-rock outfit Mogwai can’t get enough of life on the road, after news today confirmed the addition of two extra dates to their world tour. The dates will take place at Newcastle’s Northumbria Institute (1st Feb) and Manchester’s Albert Hall (2nd Feb).
The shows come whilst the band finds themselves in the midst of a 23 date world tour celebrating the release of latest album ‘Every Country’s Sun’. The album was recorded with Dave Fridmann, who produced ‘Rock Action’ some 15 years previously. Released in September this year, ‘Every Country’s Sun’ has been praised as “brash, gritty, unpretentious, and thrillingly claustrophobic—a work of volume and violence”.
Pre-sale tickets for Mogwai’s Northumbria Institute date go on sale tomorrow at 9am. General sale is at 10 am on Friday 27th October 2017.
